In Deep with Drop D - An Introduction to Drop D Tuning
Drop D tuning is one of the first altered tunings we tend to explore as guitarists. It was certainly the case for me as I was (and remain) a hard rock/metal lover and a lot of my favourite bands were using this tuning.
In this video lesson I will show you how you can tune up in Drop D and, once you're there I'll take you through some essential chord grips and minor pentatonic patterns to get you riffing like a Rock God. We'll cover open chords, power chords, sus2 chords, major and minor triad voicings, extended voicings and lots more.
