TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR LIVE GUITAR LESSONS
These Terms & Conditions apply to all live online guitar lessons provided by Ry Naylor ("I", "me").
By booking a lesson, the student ("you") agrees to the following.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 All lessons must be paid at the time of booking.
1.2 Payments are processed securely through the online checkout system.
1.3 Lessons are confirmed only once payment has been successfully received.
1.4 Returning students may request to pay via bank transfer (Wise). This is offered at my discretion.
1.5 Prices are listed in US Dollars.
2. Scheduling, Rescheduling and Cancellations
2.1 You may reschedule a lesson up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time using the link provided in your confirmation email.
2.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
2.3 Missed lessons ("no-shows") are charged in full.
2.4 If you are late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
2.5 In the event of an emergency or exceptional circumstance, contact me directly. While I aim to be fair, adjustments cannot be guaranteed.
2.6 If I must cancel a lesson, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund for that session.
3. Technical Requirements and Responsibilities
3.1 Lessons are delivered online via Zoom.
3.2 You are responsible for ensuring:
A stable internet connection
A functioning device with audio and video
Zoom installed and updated
Your guitar and equipment are ready for the session
3.3 If technical issues on your side prevent the lesson from taking place or significantly reduce its effectiveness, the session is considered delivered and will not be refunded.
3.4 If technical issues on my side prevent us from completing the lesson, I will reschedule at no additional cost.
4. Lesson Conduct
4.1 Lessons are one-to-one sessions unless otherwise specified.
4.2 You are expected to behave respectfully. Abusive, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the lesson without refund.
4.3 Lessons may not be attended by additional participants unless agreed beforehand.
5. Lesson Recordings and Materials
5.1 Lesson recordings may be provided for personal study upon request.
5.2 Recording a lesson yourself is permitted only if agreed during the session.
5.3 All diagrams, written materials, methods, frameworks and resources provided during or after a lesson remain my intellectual property.
5.4 You may not distribute, copy, publish or sell any lesson materials or recordings.
5.5 Recordings are for your private personal use only.
6. Lesson Bundles (Packages)
6.1 Bundles must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
6.2 Each bundle provides a set number of lessons which must be booked using the code provided upon purchase.
6.3 Bundles are non-refundable once any session within the bundle has been redeemed.
6.4 Bundles have an expiration period as stated at checkout (typically 3–4 months).
6.5 Unused lessons cannot be refunded after the expiration date.
6.6 All standard rescheduling and cancellation rules apply to each individual session within the bundle.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Completed lessons are non-refundable.
7.2 Refunds for future lessons are only provided if I cancel and cannot offer a suitable alternative time.
7.3 Change-of-mind refunds are not offered for single lessons or bundles.
7.4 Refunds will not be issued in cases of student-side technical failure, lateness or absence.
8. Liability
8.1 Guitar playing involves physical activity. You are responsible for monitoring your own comfort, technique and physical limits.
8.2 I am not liable for any injuries, strain, or technical damage that may occur during or after lessons.
8.3 You assume full responsibility for ensuring your environment is safe and suitable for the session.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
9.1 Your personal information is used solely for scheduling, communication and lesson delivery.
9.2 Your data will not be shared with third parties except as required for booking, payment processing, and lesson delivery (e.g., scheduling system, payment processor, Zoom).
9.3 You may request deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal and accounting obligations.
10. Changes to Terms
10.1 These Terms & Conditions may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in services or applicable policies.
10.2 The version published on the website at the time of booking applies to your lesson.
